Another Theory Demolished

One of the things that 9-11 Deniers like to claim is that very few of those killed in the Pentagon crash were actually military or other employees of the Defense Department. I suppose the idea is that this makes it more likely that the military could have been involved.

However, a quick check of this CNN tribute website should dispell the myth. As you can see, of the thirty people listed (alphabetically) on the first page, one worked for Verizon, one worked for Booz Allen, and one person's employer was not given. The rest, 90%, worked for the Army, the Navy, the Defense Department or the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Nessie:

I just read that link...I hardly think that pathetic rehash of shaite qualifies as "owning" Democracy Now.

Ok so now I've agreed with Noam Chomsky and Democracy Now?

The end is nigh.

Are you aware that one of the most astute researchers of British and American covert operations writing today

Followed by a guy who thinks al-Qaeda is an invented entity.

Obviously not an astute researcher,

Funny that they were so smart as to get past all of our defenses and totaly pwn us but hit the side that doesnt house the big names like the vice president.

Uh the vice president isn't at the Pentagon (I think you mean Rummy). They didn't have to get by any defenses, either. That's an idiotic statement.

Which i might figure would be a target.

Uh they weren't aiming for government officials. The attacks were symbolic, psychological, and aimed at killing a lot of people.

I can't believe they got past our defenses, either. Past all the Tesla-coils, attack dogs, missile batteries, and whatever else they surely must have installed around the Pentagon. You know--just like in Command and Conquer.

Here's some advice, ronin--when you're talking to grownups, try not to use fake words like 'pwn'. We're not your Counterstrike buddies, and real people died. They did not get 'totaly[sic] pwn'-ed.

Also, try proofreading your post. Maybe run it by someone with some reliable critical-thinking skills. Are you really suggesting that the big hole in this conspiracy is that they didn't take out the VP? Do a little reasearch on terrorism--their goal is TERROR.

That is such a twisted idea that it makes my head hurt trying to figure out what you were thinking. Not that it's particularly complex or clever, only that it's wrong and it makes you look simple.

At no point in your rambling, incoherant post did you come even close to anything which even resembles a rational point. Everyone in these forums is now dumber for having listened to you. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

My weapon of choice is common sense.

No...no it isn't.

I submit that we were all just pwnd, I guess.

Here's something. If you kill a high-ranking government official, it's a national tragedy. However, it's still one that you really can't fully wrap your head around, because they were targeting one specific person, and one specific *type* of person. Unless I become Vice President, I will never fully feel the fear of being assassinated.

Now, imagine the guy who runs the corner store is shot and killed. Closer to home, yes, but still a few steps removed. They're still not targeting you, right? NOW, imagine they're shooting random people walking down the street. There's your terror. Anyone can be a target. Now magnify that a few thousand times. Now put all that terror in what is ostensibly a monument to our own progress.

Try harder, ronin.

You want me to help you up, or are you going to stay down there? No?

...you want a juice box?

Ronin;

We can tell from your conversation that you are obviously new to the whole thing. I suggest, if you wish to learn, that you ask some questions, without strong language or opinion, and then maybe you'll get some non-toxic answers...

That's the thing, though--he obviously doesn't wish to learn. He's made up his mind that he's right (apparently without the need for external confirmation) and we're all liars.

How in the world do you reason with someone who calls himself 'a deception detector'?

dear mr. samurai warrior,

you are just like the rest. you come in with guns blazing, but when it is pointed out that your post is full of garbage, you just want to come back with "yeah but this, yeah but that".

That's the CT way. You don't blink, you don't question your sources. The fact that you have been fed utter garbage and fallen for it doesn't make you hesitate for even one moment before you go back and ask for seconds. why is that?
