How's That Paperwork Coming Along, Dylan?

The Avery Foundation is still processing paperwork?

The Avery Foundation is still processing paperwork with the IRS. As soon as we can legally collect donations an announcement will be made.

The Avery Foundation is being created this year by Dylan Avery, writer and director of the Loose Change series of documentaries about the events surrounding the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001. The Avery Foundation will donate funds to well-established charities who care for the First Responders and victims of 9/11 as well as all their families, by providing them much needed financial assistance.

It is now almost 7 months since Loose Change An American Coup was released. What's the holdup with the foundation?

From the Avery Foundation webpage we read, "...The Avery Foundation will donate funds to well-established charities who care for the First Responders and victims of 9/11 as well as all their families, by providing them much needed financial assistance."

To quote Pink Floyd, "...Don't give me that do goody-good bullshit."

For pity's sake, anyone with an IQ approaching room temperature knows that tax exempt foundations are nothing more than a tax avoidance scheme for the wealthy.

Who do you think your kidding, scumbag?

I doubt if Dyan is wealthy. Most likely he can’t find a truthy lawyer who’ll do the paperwork for free.

It might be a nice scam, though. The laws governing foundations in California are (or used to be) very adventitious to foundation directors. Nancy Regan set up a foundation from the unsolicited donations she received from her idiotic “Just Say No” campaign.

That “foundation” mainly existed to provide Nancy with an office and secretary. Very little if any proceeds had to be spent on fighting drug abuse.

Noticeably, they've gotten rid of the 501(c)(3) claim (either that they are one or will be one).

Getting (c)(3) status can be a real bitch.

But if they've given up on having a tax-exempt charity contributions to which are tax deductible, this should be easier for them.

Yet, can't we imagine that they'll continue to fail?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Dylan Avery live in San Diego, California?

And if that's true, how does he support himself? How does a young man with little or no education and no job manage to move from his mother's basement to one of the most expensive areas of California?

Hmmmmmm...

GuitarBill,

We've all been wondering that, and we all have different takes. Especially since AJ and Bermas sucked up a lot of the market.

I hardly think that Microcinema International fronted them too much money; I would assume that he and Korey took a percentage of the net (if any, probably very little).

Serious question: Why would someone set up a non-profit whose purpose is to collect donations... to in turn give those donations to charities?

It seems like an unnecessary middle-man, but I don't know a lot about charities.

At 10 April, 2010 21:26, Anonymous Patrick from Cincinnati said...

Sam,

Happens all the time - one of the permissible activities of a (c)(3) is to give to another (c)(3).

You're right that it creates another layer of bureaucracy, but, assuming that the charitable purpose is beneficial, it can be a good thing, as it can help reach the most donors. It's all about the marketing, and as a good capitalist, I don't mind.

I actually don't have any problem with Dylan founding The Avery Foundation and extracting a reasonable market salary for management, just as along as the rest of the donated money goes to first responders and other 911 medical-related issues. One way to get the dollars to the right targets is through some other reputable charities.

Now is this what Dylan had in mind? Probably not. He's a cheat and a swindler and a phony. So my initial presumption is that his foundation is conceived as a scam.

At 10 April, 2010 22:40, Blogger Billman said...

Well, Dylan has been claiming for years that he's gonna give money to the first responders. If this is his attempt at finally doing that, I'm for it.

Punk ass that he is, I don't see him embezzeling money for his college tuition like Luke.

Pat wrote, "...The story I've heard is that he's sleeping on somebody's couch."

Sorry, but that explanation doesn't compute.

For example, homeless people don't try to set up tax exempt foundations; they don't wear $75 hair cuts; they don't wear the latest "fashion"; they can't travel from one end of the country to the other attending troofer™ gatherings; and they certainly can't afford to maintain high-volume web sites.

GuitarBill,

Don't be so skeptical! :)

Yes, people who sleep on couches can set up tax-exempt charities. There's some hefty filing fees, but you can use donations (for first responders!) for that purpose.

That latest "fashion"? I've only seen him wear gas station attendant shirts, the type of shirt that became popular in the mid-90s (how UN-ironic of him :) )

What's your info. on the haircut? My girlfriend just cut my hair - although it hurt quite a bit, it looks good actually. It cost me nothing but morning sex.

I agree with you on the travel thing, however. But for the Treason Conference, perhaps part of the 20K that Wacky Betsy spent went towards air fare for the key players like Dylan.

Patrick,

Good points. Thank you.

Concerning Avery's haircut: He appears to have a fairly expensive dye job.

If he is sleeping on a couch in San Diego, that's very sad indeed.

After all, he moved to San Diego a few years back because ... well we know why. It most likely had something to do with a truthergirl whose name I won't mention because that wouldn't be nice.

If his intention was to break into the movie business, he would have moved to LA like a normal person. But San Diego called!

Now that he's sleeping on a couch and otherwise beyond the apogee of his truther stardom, do you think she returns his calls?

Since everyone totally fucking idolizes you now for "calling it", will you please come over and fuck my sister? It's only fitting.

Thus, I'm forced to conclude that Dylan Avery couldn't get laid in upstate New York.

And there certainly is no shortage of single women in upstate New York.

I think you all underestimate Dylan Avery's real skill: salesmanship.

Just off the top of my head, he's sold Loose Change to Virgin Atlantic, Alex Jones, Microcinema, Netflix (I recall somebody here complaining about that), various foreign TV channels who broadcasted it, a few movie theaters, thousands of individual DVDs, thousands of black t-shirts, ads on his websites and forums, and donations. That sort of thing adds up into a lot of residual income.

I don't see why he'd even need to commit charity fraud. The guy could probably get some free web hosting, post the words "I need venture capital for Loose Change 7: Assignment Miami Beach and a ChipIn meter and get $10,000.

Im anon. I dont know why you keep calling anon Glenn, I'm not him.

You guys are high fiving eachother over these assertions that Dylan doesnt have a job, doesnt do anything but crash on someone elses couch.

Im just wondering where you get that idea.. I dont care if you prefer ad hominem style "conversations" with commenters here, or if you style yourself as some sort of 9/11 debunker. None of it really bothers me.

I dont care much for 9/11 truthers either, to be honest, but I dont hate them, and I certainly dont create blogs gossiping about them.

I guess it just struck me funny that this little site is like the TMZ of the 9/11 truth movement.

Im just stopping by, I stumbled onto this blog, but since you replied I guess there's a chance you might reply to this as well.

So once again, GuitarBill:
Where did you get the idea that Dylan Avery is essentially homeless and jobless? And do you have any evidence whatsoever to back up such a claim?

"...Where did you get the idea that Dylan Avery is essentially homeless and jobless? And do you have any evidence whatsoever to back up such a claim?"

Because it's well known that he lived with his mother in upstate New York, and he has no job or work history, outside of making "movies" (read "Al Qaeda propaganda") in his mother's basement.

On the contrary, Glenn, why don't YOU prove that he's not homeless and that he has a job.

Sorry Triterope, didn't mean to lump you in there.

You could find that much out about him just by using Facebook.

Still not "Glenn" btw..

Anonymous bullshits, "...You want me to prove he has a job and a living space?"

He lists his occupation as "filmmaker".

In other words, he's unemployed.

He obtained his high school diploma in 2002 from Oneonta HS, and he lists no source of employment.

And living on his friend's couch (as opposed to living in an apartment or purchasing a home) hardly qualifies him as self-sufficient.

And given his propensity to lie with abandon, why would any rational individual believe one word that emanates from his lying maw?

At 13 April, 2010 07:33, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I guess there's a lot of animosity there. Oh well.

I happen to know for a fact that Dylan Avery has a job, and also generates income via shows with the the band he's in.

Not that any of this matters. I guess if you have the time to gossip about such things, go for it.

Anonymous prevaricates, "...I happen to know for a fact that Dylan Avery has a job, and also generates income via shows with the the band he's in."

That's not "proof", it's your opinion.

Again, I want proof, not your opinion or bullshit from a proven liar (Dylan Avery).

At 13 April, 2010 08:43, Anonymous Anonymous said...

I dont feel like providing that proof because of your hostility. I'll continue to withhold it.

I asked you to provide evidence that he's not employed.

You said, "In other words, he's unemployed."

That is your opinion.

Now, we could go back and forth all day, but the reality of the matter is that you really have no idea what Dylan Avery does and for some reason this pisses you off.

Fair enough. I have no vested interest in producing proof that Dylan makes money. If you choose to believe whatever it is you believe, that's good enough for me.

You've demonstrated that you can't answer my question and that we've hit a dead end in the exchange of ideas, so I will take my leave from this corner of the internet.

Have a lovely afternoon.

On the contrary, I know precisely what he does: Lie with abandon.

He also claims to be a "hip-hop artist", but there's not a shred of evidence to prove that he's ever made a penny doing the white boi shuffle in San Diego.
